Our story

A menu you can read without glasses.

I built Tastiana out of my own need. My eyesight is poor enough that without glasses I can hardly read a printed menu – and my glasses are often at home.

In the evening restaurants are often dim, and the print on the menu is small. So I read the menu on my phone. That is where the hunting starts: the menu is buried somewhere on the website, it is a PDF I have to zoom and scroll sideways, and the prices sit somewhere other than the dishes.

Many others are in the same position. Everyone’s near vision fades with age, and small print is hard to read in a dim room even with good eyesight. When the menu is hard to read, choosing takes longer, and sometimes the guest ends up somewhere else.

Tastiana turns the restaurant’s menu into a clear guide that is easy to read on a phone: large text, strong contrast, and the text can be made larger still. Dishes and prices come straight from the restaurant’s own menu, and booking a table is one tap away.

I can read Tastiana’s menu without my glasses. That is what I want for every restaurant guest.
